IRG dry rotor pumps  refer to vertical single-stage centrifugal pumps with in-line nozzles. Such design makes these pumps more resistant to mechanical impurities in the pumped liquid comparing to wet rotor pumps. Pump multipurpose design (in-line design) allows easy dismantling avoiding dismantling of parts of pipeline system. 
 
Characteristics
  • IRG cast iron dry rotor pumps feature electric motor installed vertically and inlet and outlet nozzles installed on the same axis, which allows their installing directly on the pipeline (in-line design). In addition, these pumps have compact dimensions and space saving design; the pumps can be installed outdoors under a shelter.
  • The impeller with the dry rotor is installed directly on the prolonged motor shaft. Thus, the pump operation is noiseless, and the vibration is not high. Moreover, the housing is connected with the motor, so that it decreases the axial pressure during operation.
  • The shaft is sealed by mechanical seal that refers to a combination of seals all made of titanium alloy, which extends pump service life.
 
Pump distinctive features
In dry rotor pumps the pump head and the impeller have a direct contact. The motor is separated from the pump head by a rotary shaft and a sliding mechanical seal. This seal refers to a dynamic seal and is used to seal the distance between the rotary shaft and the housing.
